Twenty-one-year-old Antoine “Fats” Domino recorded his first million-seller, “The Fat Man.” The song, originally called “Junker’s Blues” was rewritten by Domino and songwriter Dave Bartholomew. Fats went on to sell more than 65 million records in a six-decade career.
This song sold over a million copies and is regarded as a contender for the first Rock ‘n’ Roll record to do so.
