Show us your Elvis vinyl from around the world.
As I wrote on the ‘Elvis related vinyl thread’ 22nd November 2025.
So if I may I’d like to restart this new thread ‘Show us your rare Elvis vinyl from around the world’. I’ll start it with a couple of LP’s I used to own from Uruguay. I did a trade with these album many years ago for some Japanese records which I’ll post pics of later.
Now Go Cat Go was released 1975.
From Memphis To The World was released in 1976.
Thanks.

Re: Show us your Elvis vinyl from around the world.
I also have this Russian release which I believe is from 1989, see the printing on the side 2 label.
I’ve also been informed that this album has also been bootlegged. I’m not able to prove this but maybe someone on this forum can shed more light on it. I don’t think it’s all that rare to get this one. Currently plenty available on discogs.

I've got that one too, it turns up pretty often everywhere, so it's not that rare, but what's amazing is how GOOD it sounds for being a Russian pressing! The Warder wrote: November 23rd, 2025, 6:30 am I also have this Russian release which I believe is from 1989, see the printing on the side 2 label.

Re: Show us your Elvis vinyl from around the world.
That’s correct, I can remember playing my copy expecting it to be poor sound quality. I was impressed too, mind you the record itself looks and feels a very good product. The sleeve! Well that unfortunately doesn’tJohanD wrote: November 23rd, 2025, 7:22 amI've got that one too, it turns up pretty often everywhere, so it's not that rare, but what's amazing is how GOOD it sounds for being a Russian pressing! The Warder wrote: November 23rd, 2025, 6:30 am I also have this Russian release which I believe is from 1989, see the printing on the side 2 label.

Another little oddity I pulled out of the collection today. Frankie and Johnny Extended Play Portugal release. I always did wonder why we had 'Tell Me Why' on this release. Anyone throw some light on to this?

Re: Show us your Elvis vinyl from around the world.
Looks like the idea was to compile 1965 single sides. Only two of the tracks on the EP are from the film, so whilst they've obviously used the movie as a selling point, it wasn't a soundtrack release as such. The Warder wrote: November 25th, 2025, 5:29 am Another little oddity I pulled out of the collection today. Re: Show us your Elvis vinyl from around the world.
Great addition to the vinyl thread we already have. Just checked my photo files for some non-USA releases I have photographed over the years:
From top to bottom:
- King Of The Whole Wide World (RCA Victor, South Africa, 1961)
- Girl Happy (Victor, Japan, 1965)
- Easy Come Easy Go (RCA Victor, Australia, 1967)
From left to right:
- Golden Boy Elvis (RCA Horzu, Germany, 1985) - Extremely hard to find reissue
- Golden Boy Elvis (TELDEC Horzu, Germany, 1966) Extremely hard to find original release
- Golden Boy Elvis (RCA Horzu, Germany, 1981) - Fairly common mainstream issue

Re: Show us your Elvis vinyl from around the world.
In the early '80s each European country had its own production of Elvis records but from 1983 on the production and distribution of European Elvis records was centralized by RCA. Production for countries such as France, Germany, UK, Sweden (Scandinavia) or Netherlands was no longer a domnestic matter, but taken care of by the TELDEC pressing plant in Germany.
Now my US record collection nears 90% completeness (and the ones left to obtain are extremely hard to find and expensive) I have focussed on the European releases on the German Black Label Silver Ring (check out this great website for a complete overview of the German labels) from 1983 to 1988. The calalog (as far I have been able to compile a complete list) does include 130 titles of which I have collected 101 as we speak, with the help of some friends and a fellow collector on this forum. Some titles were apperently only pressed in small runs for local markets and are therefor quite rare. Here some finds I stumbled upon in the last couple of months:
The mid-80s reissues of the well-known Elvis In Demand or the European Pure Gold - Take Off albums for example are extremely hard to find.
The European reissue of Elvis' Christmas album in 1984 came both in Green and Black vinyl.
There were quite a few variations reissued in the mid-80s of the 1957 original album in the 80s throughout Europe with both the '57 US original, the 1970 Camden and the UK original cover (available in the UK only).
This 1985 2LP set was issued with a clear and blue vinyl record, mysteriously with an old (1982) black label variant.
This box set The Legend was distributed through a record club in 1984 and is currently on offer on Ebay for a whopping $255.

Re: Show us your Elvis vinyl from around the world.
‘Burning Love and Hits From His Movies LP’ released 1972.
RCA INTS 1414.
I picked up this copy around 30 years ago for a few pence. What’s rare is this copy is pressed in England. I’ll insert a snapshot from the original Elvis UK book which explains more.
Thank you.

I tried to attach these to my previous post 'Burning Love and Hits From His Movies LP' but for what ever reason I couldn't. Hopefully I've attached them now
This is my copy of the US version. As stated in the Elvis UK insert volume 2 is printed on the front cover. I've not opened this copy and it's still in the shrink

Hi there!!
.
Extremely hard to find 2º re-release of "I´m Yours" RCA Victor Spain 3-20958 ep, released in 1966.

Heard it though the grapevine....
, that this ep replaced in very, very low quantity, the first release of the now famouse withdrawn "Girl on Surfboard" ep cover.....
. Bye for now

That's a nice vinyl, @The Warder. Never saw this green label version on any record fair. I will keep my eyes open for this one, next time. Although this album is not one of my favourites, to put it mildly... A pure waist of the hit 'Burning Love' on this album! Elvis should have cared more! The Warder wrote: November 29th, 2025, 6:30 am I tried to attach these to my previous post 'Burning Love and Hits From His Movies LP' but for what ever reason I couldn't. By the way, I think 5 attachments is the maximum per post. That's why the 6th photo didn't show in your first post.
