Elvis made only one commercial in his life on november 6, 1954 for Southern Maid Donuts. This commercial was broadcast during the Louisiana Hayride. Elvis sang the jingle: 'You can get 'em piping hot after four PM, you can get 'em piping hot. Southern Maid Donuts hit the spot, you can get 'em piping hot after four PM'. This commercial has never been released. George Klein recieved a phone call this week in his radio show. The caller claimed that he received the commercial thru an ex-employee from the production company and that is willing to give the commercial to EPE for free, if they arrange a meeting with Lisa-Marie.

March 3 holds a special place in music history. It was on March 3, 1955 that Elvis Presley made his television debut on the Louisiana Hayride. Elvis had appeared on the radio version of the show before, but the March 3 show marked his first ever appearance on television.  The show was broadcast from the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium, and was broadcast through television affiliate KSLA. It was broadcast through several radio stations as well, with the flagship station being KWKH in Shreveport.
