still looking for confirmation on this one??
There was a link to the Discogs page of this pressing in this thread somewhere, and the page mentioned a matrix number and other writings in the deadwax. And that had BBJ's initials or signature. So I would say that's concrete evidence that there have been copies of that pressing which were cut by BBJ.
I am aware of that...just can`t find a seller who has a copy for sale so maybe the BBJ copies were not pressed in huge numbers.
@Sweet-Angeline I believe this was the link: https://www.discogs.com/release/3631027 ... With-Elvis

It does have the etched B.J. in the deadwax. I have it and it sounds great! There are about 10 sellers with prices varying from 10,- to 38,- euro's (excl. Shipping)
Finally obtained a copy Bilbobaggins...thanks for all the help :D can you please forward a link to the SOMETHING FOR EVERYBODY LP from BBJ and is it BOPPIN BOB that is etched or just BJ?? thanks again my friend, appreciate this just maybe I will get them all soon enough ;)
Hi @Sweet-Angeline. Great that you obtained a copy, congratulations!

I just checked my copy of 'Something For Everybody'. I'm sorry, but I seem to have mixed it up with 'Elvis for everyone' (I keep doing that... Something For Everyone... Elvis For Everybody... Elvis For Somebody... Something For Elvis  ). The copy of 'Something...' I have on the green label doens't have any indication of being a BBJ. Sorry for the confusion.

With Something for Everybody, it is the same case as with other green label INTS pressings: they were also cut by others besides BBJ. I personally have a green label INTS of that album and it was not cut by BBJ.

Only after checking the deadwax you can be sure that your copy is BBJ.

It's actually pretty amazing what Bob Jones did with his work.
"Kissin' cousins" for example, released by the Camden label in Britain 1986, midprice, yet, the sound is better then before.(the sound on that album was always a problem)
Considering he (i guess) didn't work with the original tapes, it's fantastic.
The way the 'hiss' (always promiment on "Tender feeling" and a bit on "Anyone") is almost gone but loses nothing of the quality ,well, he was a wizzard.
Now we know it, at the time, it was overlooked...

Yep,I was playing this pressing two days ago and also paid attention to good the sound was.... compared to the other pressings anyway. There is some dynamics and clarity not found in other vinyl pressings.

And - like you wrote - less hiss on Tender Feeling and Anyone. There is hiss but it is less overbearing.

I know that the Bob Jones' version of "A date with Elvis" was released in 1989 (learned that from here).
Last weekend i got hold of another version.
His name is not credited in the deadwax (only the ints cataloguenumber and a very small 'w'), but since the release of the record fits in the timeframe that Jones delivered mostly his work for the UK, and the sound is very good, i wonder.
Could this also be a Bob Jones piece, even if he's not credited?

Well, it could be. Since no initials are mentioned at all... who knows. The only thing that is certain, is that the record is pressed in the Washington plant.

I've LP King Creole - Ints 5103 with green label (see previous post(s) but without "electronically reprocessed" printed on the label. In the lead out groove is mentiond "BB". It's a mono version.

I still found another record in my collection mastered by Boppin' Bob Jones; it's 45 rpm maxi single with Mean woman blues - I beg of you b/w Party - Mean woman blues (PT 49474). In the lead out groove is etched "Boppin' Bob".

I think we were sticking with LPs only as these songs on the maxi single would be on the LP version anyway.

I guess this thread can be used for discussing any kind of BBJ-mastered vinyl, regardless if it is 12" or 7". There are of course a handful of BBJ-mastered singles as well. In addition to the one mentioned by @colonel snow , I remember from my collection I Can Help / Lady Loves Me

But like @Sweet-Angeline stated, maybe it's not worthwhile listing them to the first page because they contain the same songs already available in LP's.

But as I am not an expert of the vinyl mastering process, I am left to wonder if a song was mastered for an LP, can the resulting master be somehow used for pressing the single? If the single has to be mastered separately then the sound can theoretically be different in the two formats in which case it could be worthwhile to list the singles too since the sound quality of the single could be even better than the lp.

Maybe i overlooked it in the overview, but could this British pressing (according discogs from 1981) be a Bob Jones cut?
Note the 'Merry christmas' and 'B. Bo' in the run out...
The label also states:' electronically reprocessed', it's in nice mono and sounds very nice.
