Echoes of love
According to the official fan site of P.J. Proby he recorded in 1963 a demo version of the song “Echoes of love” (written by Ruth Batchelor and Bob Roberts) for the movie Kissin’ cousins. However Elvis recorded another track with the same title in a non-movie recording session on 26 may 1963.

Re: Rejected tracks
I’ll never know (Karger-Weisman-Wayne)
According to the booklet in FTD Elvis sings Guitar man the song was selected for the cancelled recording session on 22-23 august 1967. I don’t have information about a selection for an earlier recording session for a movie between 1964-1967.
Later on recorded 5 june 1970.

Re: Rejected tracks
We’re getting closer to being apart
The song was written and recorded around june/july 1955 by Charlie Feathers. The recording was not released at the time. Later on a re-make was released in 1976 (Vetco 922)
According to Kevan Budd Elvis tried to record a version around the same time at Sun.
From Escott & Hawkins book “Good rockin’ tonight”(1991)
The songs that were to be used for Presley 6th Sun single are a matter of some conjecture. Phillips undoubtly wanted to use his own copyrights and Presley had started work on Bill Emerson’s “When it rains it really pours”. For a country flipside Presley was pressured to perform another Kesler-Feathers song “We’re getting closer being apart”. A rehearsel tape of ‘When it really pours” was discovered at RCA vaults but “We’re getting closer to being apart” has never surfaced.
