In these pictures, the card it looks nicer and makes more sense. Wonderful story about your aunt receiving a card "from Elvis".
Do you know what was the exact year when she received this? It is interesting that the card was signed by "The Presleys" and not by "Elvis and the Colonel"
No. I do not know what year of the 1960s. She passed away in 2018 so I can not ask her.
In 1987, she won a radio contest trip for 2 to Graceland and she took me. I was 19 then
She was blind from a brain tumour and I snuck her hands over the velvet ropes so she could touch the knick knacks in every room.
people commented how nice I was to bring my poor blind aunt, and I would reply, she won the contest and brought me.
my aunt in front of Graceland\
my aunt and also me at the musical gates
1987 Elvis’ Aunt Delta was still living at Graceland and terrorifying the staff, she did not make an appearance during our visit. Which, at the time was $5.25 for an adult ticket and because my Aunt was Blind, we were allowed to walk at a slower pace and I snuck her hands over the ropes so she could touch Elvis’ decor items.
the number of people impressed that the college aged me would take my middle aged blind aunt was depressing to be and I told them all, she won the contest and had brought me.
this is her outside of Sun Records
