It was reported that Lisa Marie Presley would keep Graceland but sell the bulk of the Elvis estate. The deal, worth approximately $100 million, included the rights to the Elvis Presley name and image. The agreement stated that Elvis Presley Enterprises Inc. would sell 85 percent of its assets to businessman Robert F.X. Sillerman. The new publicly traded name would be called CKX Inc.

Legendary American radio host Casey Kasem was laid to rest at Norway’s Vestre Gravlund Cemetery. After Kasem died June 15 at the age of 82, his wife Jean Kasem and daughter Kerri Kasem waged a public battle over the burial site. Jean wanted Kasem interred in Norway because of her own Norwegian heritage and because her plans to relocate there would allow her to visit him.
