The Last Tours Vol 3 - Another FTD Clanger Release

Has anyone else noticed the clangers on the tour info on the back of the box for The Last Tours Vol 3.

FTD have moved Kalamazoo from Michigan to Wisconsin as shown on the label of CD 2 and also on the back of the box, whilst that St Paul is no longer the capital of Minnesota but is apparently part of the city of Minneapolis. Looks like FTD have done some top quality proof reading on this. Considering how much they charge for these releases, we should get better than this. And quite why they have to release these things in the 5" format where it is quite hard to read anything with such small text is questionable. As a series, these should have been done with 7’ or 8" packaging and little booklets due to the historical context.

I agree. These mistakes are more and more common in these FTD releases. This should not be. I just can not understand why there is no decent quality control, be it in layout/lettering or audio. I always supported FTD, and I still do. But last year I stopped being a FTD completist. One of the reasons is this quality issue. Another reason is that don't enjoy all those soundboards anymore. I play most of them once, skipping a lot of tracks, and then shelve them. I enjoy a 60 years old vinyl more than these soundboards. Even though I have heard the music on these old LP's a thousand of times.

Of course, I know that a lot of people enjoy these soundboards, and that is fine. FTD really has to upgrade their quality control. But somehow I doubt they will...

The sloppiness of the presentation reflects the sloppiness of the performances!

Like me, FTD appear to be shirt at proof reading.

Rip It Up is credited to Robert Marascalco / John Marascalco as songwriters. It should actually be Robert Blackwell / John Marascalco.
On April 30, 1977, Hound Dog is listed with a running time of 4:41. The long running time is due to Kathy Westmoreland also being featured on the track with My Heavenly Father, but not being listed on the set list.
