There have been many great bootleg labels over the last three decades, and Venus is probably my favorite
because of all the unreleased 1970s studio outtake releases.

Many don’t care about the books — me included.
But this time, I wouldn’t bother with the FTD 5-CD set either. Better sound than ever, yes, but there isn’t anything new, so the old Vol. 1/2 sets are more than enough ...

Like many, I’d been waiting for decades for the Hampton show to be released, but when it finally did, I just
wasn’t that excited… I only played it once, actually.
I haven’t listened to the four shows enough to say I have a favorite, but in general, I’m not a big fan
of any of them .

I wouldnt bother with this old box set in 2025 if sound quality is important.
I lended it a few years ago and was not impressed with the overall sound
quality….much better box set options out there like the 2016 album collection
that is so much better in every way.
And the storage Graceland box is ...

Good documentary, although John’s alcohol and drug problems were much bigger than the documentary suggests.

Don't agree as great as this remaster is, having had a sample sent to me of the new bootleg, the mix on the new reel trax is more balanced

Shame the producers didnt include songs like Help Me and
Good Times Charlies Got The Blues live as bonus on disc 2.
Would be nice to at least include all the Stax songs that
was performed live during this season...and it
goes well with the title&topic of the CD.

I might raise the dialogue between the songs to a slightly higher level, as I did with a previous release of this rehearsal.
Or maybe I’ll just remove all the dialogue so that only the songs are left to hear :)
