Re: (Small) imperfections on studio masters
In the studio master of Funny How Time Slips Away, you can hear what sounds like metal on metal - possibly one of EP's rings making contact with the microphone handle?

Does anyone have the VPI pressing Blondes, Brunes Et Rousses?
It looks interesting as it follows the same track listing as the original Worlds Fair album but withh all alternate tracks - correct? Can anyone comment on the sound?
Thankyou

Re: Ernst and 2027
I guess the Elvis journey from Ernst will come to an end in 2027.We've got fantastic releases from Ernst. But the last ones were , well not the best. The Memphis set had a lot of discussions. What do you think ? Will we get a last huge surprise end when Ernst finishes his work ?
At some point ...

Re: Elvis vinyl mastered by Boppin' Bob Jones
We had a great time, as always, comparing different pressings. I got home and ordered Boppin' Bob's of Roustabout and Golden Records Volume 4 (as well as a back up Tan From Elvis In Memphis that was too good a deal to pass up).

Re: What FTD book/CD combo set would be suitable for future release?
I love the idea of a '68 comeback special book and one covering '69 -'70 would also be fantastic.
I'd quite like one about Fun In Acapulco although, I'll be honest, the FTD books I have are some of the older titles. These more recent monster books are just too expensive when I'm more of a music man.

Re: Elvis vinyl related discussion
Those are some great pressings Alexander, very nice to see!
Have some of the 'tan' versions, but i don't think any are rare. How do they come out soundwise?
At the previous forum there was nice topic about the British albums that where "cut" by Bob Jones/Boppin' Bob.
His work must be of the ...

Re: A review of Peter Guralnick's "The Colonel And The King"
Sounds like I've saved a few quid as I'm unlikely to buy this book.
Normally a Guralnick book on Elvis would be a no-brainer but the Colonel did a good job on him by the sound of it.

Thanks for doing this chaps.
It's lovely to see so many familiar names have registered already. Honestly, it's given me a warm feeling and it's not the beer.
