I wasn’t that impressed with this release and thankfully I didn’t buy it—only borrowed it. I also wish the producers
had added stereo sound to the original ’77 special video, as others have done with later releases.

I didn't buy the original, as I've never really collected FTD vinyl. I did pick a few up out of curiosity, but I always considered them overpriced, and RCA pressings from back in the day have always held more appeal for me. They are the real pieces of history.

And with those kind of numbers, I find it quite amusing that the hype coming out of FTD for this forthcoming Good Times release is that it is a "Limited Edition" release with 3500 pressed although it’s a cunning way of getting the sales.

Yesterday the 2nd batch of MOV reissues arrived. One, imo, very positive difference is that the packaging of the 4-LP Aloha From Hawaii is different. The older releases were housed in a triple gatefold LP cover. I always felt is was inconvenient to get the LP's in and out of the sleeve.
